Kiwi couple able to travel for a year without work, after moving to Australia for better pay

A Kiwi couple have spent the last few months travelling the world, without working, after coming up with a quick way of saving cash - moving to Australia.

Hospital pharmacist Eva Mitchell and Engineer Tim Mitchell had originally planned on doing the classic OE in Europe, but after Covid hit, they decided instead that they wanted to travel the globe.

Not wanting to backpack, they knew they’d need a significant amount of money. So the plan was hatched to move to Australia - which resulted in roughly a 30% pay rise for both of them, while doing almost the exact same jobs.
